This Refund Policy explains when payments to Names.com ("we", "us", "our") can be refunded or cancelled. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions. By purchasing or using our services, you agree to this policy.
Domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are submitted to third-party registries through our registrar partner and are generally non-refundable once submitted, because the registry fee is incurred immediately and cannot be reversed. If a registration fails before it is submitted to the registry, any amount charged for that registration will be refunded. Pricing, registry fees, and ICANN fees are confirmed at checkout.
Leases are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel future renewals at any time, and your lease will remain active through the end of the current paid period. The current period's payment is non-refundable once the period has begun, except where required by law. We do not pro-rate partial months.
Acquisition and brokerage transactions are individually negotiated and documented in a separate agreement, which governs deposits, payments, and any refund or cancellation terms for that specific deal. Where a transaction is escrow-secured, the escrow provider's terms also apply.
Listing and advertising placements are typically invoiced after approval. If we are unable to approve or run a placement you have paid for, that amount will be refunded. Once a placement has run, or a listing has been published, fees for the delivered service are non-refundable except where required by law.
Optional digital services (such as paid reports or tools) are delivered electronically. Because they are made available immediately, they are non-refundable once delivered, unless the service failed to function as described.
To request a refund or report a billing issue, contact us through our contact page with your order details and the reason for the request. We aim to review eligible requests promptly. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution and can affect access to the Services.
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Questions can be sent through our contact page. [Operator legal entity name and registered address to be added.]
